INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

PUTTING YOU AND YOUR CHILD AT EASE

A warm welcome to Dental Paediatrix!

Your first visit will take around half an hour, and will include a family-friendly introduction to the clinic as well as a gentle examination of your child’s teeth and gums.

After getting to know you and your child, we will provide nutritional guidance and explain procedures to assist with gum care, teething (if required), best-practice toothbrushing and more.

The treating dentist will also examine your child’s medical history and tailor advice to meet their specific needs.

If your child requires dental treatment, we will discuss the treatment plan and provide the opportunity for you to ask any questions about the proposed process.

Your initial visit will take approximately 30 minutes.

What will the first visit involve?

On your first visit you’ll have a family-friendly introduction to the clinic and your child’s teeth and gums will be examined. If your child requires dental treatment, we will discuss the treatment plan with you. We will also provide you with some advice on teeth and gum care and nutrition specific to your child’s needs.

Why can’t my child be treated on their first visit? Our dentist gave us a referral letter stating what needs to be done.

Our specialist dentist will need to examine your child’s teeth to make their own assessment, after which they will discuss their treatment recommendations with you. You will then be given a treatment plan and invited to make an appointment to commence treatment.
